"Gloom" can be described as follows: Similar to gloom, it is a term for a depressed, emotional state accompanied by negative thoughts! In absolute reality, however, this state only applies to the share and the investors, because the travel retailer AVOLTA has been delivering positive facts for the most part - since the Corona pandemic - which should have long since given rise to positive thoughts: AVOLTA continues to grow... AVOLTA cancels 6.1 million treasury shares (4% of issued share capital; shares already purchased)... expansion in Asia is on track... EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) also showing strong performance... transformation thanks to artificial intelligence... medium-term targets confirmed... and, shareholders should benefit! Regionally, only Latin America tends to be weak, which is probably manageable. In concrete terms, the 3Q24 figures are as follows: Sales amounted to CHF 3.83 billion, which corresponds to an increase of 4.4% compared to the previous year. Organic growth even amounted to +5.7%. As with practically all Swiss companies, exchange rates had a somewhat negative impact, with a currency effect of 1.3% in the third quarter. The figures for operating profit and margin were also very good: the former rose by +10.2% to CHF 443 million, while the latter increased from 11% in the previous year to 11.6%. It is pointless to comment on the often inflated expectations of analysts. In the wake of the good figures, however, JPMorgan, for example, raised its price target to CHF 60, with an "overweight" rating. According to AVOLTA CEO Xavier Rossinyol, the company is on the verge of a "data revolution". By this he means that the "unique treasure trove of customer data" is to be used specifically for new directions and ideas with the help of AI. One example of this is the "concept store" recently opened with Real Madrid at Madrid Airport.
Shareholders should also benefit from this success: AVOLTA intends to distribute one third of the cash flow; share buybacks also remain opportune! On to the target price of CHF 76!
AVOLTA: There is no reason for constant "moping"!
