Börsenlexikon: LIBOR

This is the rate at which money is lent between banks on the London Stock Exchange. Together with FIBOR, LIBOR provides a first indication of the interest rates that you as an investor can expect on your investments. The rates for term deposits with a term of one to twelve months are published in the national daily newspapers. Like FIBOR, these rates provide an initial indication of the interest rates you can expect to pay on your investments and loans.
